Marine Strategy, Blue economy, Resources, knowledge and sea tourism. These are the topics of which the event organized by the Ministry of Environment shall focus on. The event is titled “The sea, the sustainability as a development engine: Marine Strategy e Blue Growth” and will take place in Livorno, at the Livorno 2000 Port Cruise Terminal Hall, from November 14th to 15th.
Three are the sessions which will develop the debate between institutions, sea operators, trade associations, industry and research experts: the resources of the sea, the sea services, and the planning tools for a sustainable development of the sea.
At the end of the works, which will be chaired by the Undersecretary for the Environment, Silvia Velo, a document of proposals for the development of the Blue Economy through the Marine Strategy will be presented.
"It will be the occasion - underlines the Undersecretary for the Environment, Silvia Velo - to bring the sea to the center of the national and continental political agenda, not only from environmental point of view, but also as an opportunity for sustainable development, in conjunction with the Italian Presidency of the European Union."
This was communicated in Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea note.
