The LCEC has recently published the “2018 Solar PV Status Report of Lebanon” which shows the development of solar photovoltaic systems implementations between 2010 and 2018. The report shows that the total investments in solar PV systems during 2018 exceeded 22 Million USD with a total cumulative capacity of more than 56 MW of installations. More than 322 solar PV systems were installed during 2018 alone. Decentralized solar PV systems are one main component of Lebanon’s National Renewable Energy Action Plan for the period 2016-2020 (NREAP).
