The subscription on the occasion of the visit of the President Sergio Mattarella. Agreement on topics of mutual interest: circular economy, water management and ecological transition.

Rome, July 6- On the occasion of the visit to Chile by the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between MASE and the Chilean Ministry of the Environment.

The Agreement, signed on July 4, in Santiago de Chile, stems from the mutual interest of the two countries in joint environmental cooperation - in particular on the issues of the circular economy, water management and ecological transition - which had recently been reaffirmed on the occasion of the bilateral meeting between Minister Gilberto Pichetto and the Chilean Environment Minister, Maria Heloisa Rojas, held last March 23 in New York, on the sidelines of the UN Water Conference.

The Memorandum, signed by the Deputy Foreign Minister, Edmondo Cirielli, and by Minister Rojas, in the presence of the President, Sergio Mattarella, and the President of Chile, Gabriel Boric, provides for the development of bilateral cooperation activities in line with the three Rio on climate change, biodiversity and desertification, as well as the Sustainable Development Goals of Agenda 2030.
