Launched on 27 September 2019, the “Request for Proposal (RFP) for consultancy services for the development of a Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) plant in Hermel- Lebanon” is open to all national and international companies with experience in the CSP technology. The deadline to submit bids is on Tuesday, 26 November 2019 at 3:00 p.m. Beirut time. The study is funded by a grant by the Facility for Infrastructure Development Develop to Build (D2B) of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The RFP could be downloaded using the following web address: http://bit.ly/RFPCSPLebanon. The study is an initial step towards building CSP power plants in the country, which could be an integral part of the new “National Renewable Energy Action Plan for Lebanon” (NREAP) for the period 2021-2025.
