    Memorandum of Understanding (New York 2016 – 2021)

Cooperation in the field of Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development

Counterpart: Ministry delegate in charge of Environment of the Kingdom of Morocco.

Intervention Areas:

  • Strengthening the implementation of the mitigation and adaptation measures envisaged by the Nationally Determined Contributions, (NDC), also through technical assistance for feasibility studies for pilot projects on mitigation, and the establishment of a Monitoring, Reporting and Verification system of NDCs nationwide;
  • Capacity building and dissemination of experiences and knowledge, at national and regional level, on climate change mitigation and adaptation;
  • Strengthening of the national integrated management policy, at a technical level, of the coastal zones;
  • Strengthening education on the environment and sustainable development.
